Terminally Ill Michigan Teen Passes Away One Day After Meeting His Idol Eminem!
Tragic news this afternoon, as it's being reported that Gage Garmo, the terminally ill 17-year-old who was able to meet his idol Eminem on Sunday, passed away last night. Eminem decided to make the visit to Garmo's home in Michigan after his friends and family started the movement on Twitter behind the hashtag, #GetGageGarmoToMeetEminem. Garmo suffered from a rare form of bone cancer called Osteosarcoma.
Eminem reportedly spent an hour with Garmo at his him on Sunday night, as the two talked and hung out while Garmo remained in good spirits. Eminem wanted to keep the media out of the situation and decided to keep the meeting a secret, according to TMZ. Following Garmo's passing last night, hundreds of citizens from the town of Rochester, Michigan gathered at the local football field to hold a vigil for Garmo who would have turned 18 this Friday.
