James Johnson Posterizes Andre Drummond
Andre Drummond flagrant foul on James Johnson: Raptors at Pistons
Finish your breakfast, Andre!
After unveiling their new logo, the Toronto Raptors traveled to Detroit for a matchup against the lowly Pistons, though it felt like a home game for the Canadian squad. 'We the North' and 'Lets go Raptors' chants filled The Palace of Auburn Hills, most notably when Toronto's James Johnson crammed a one-handed tomahawk dunk right in Andre Drummond's grill.
Moments later, Drummond delivered a stiff forearm to Johnson, sending him to the floor and sparking a scuffle which resulted in four technical fouls, Drummond getting a flagrant, and a Raptors fan being ejected for a verbal spat with the Pistons' Josh Smith. No cups of water were thrown on any of the players.
The Raptors' 110-100 victory was their fifth straight, whereas the loss marked Detroit's 12th straight 'L' at home. Both teams will be in action against New York squads on Sunday, as the Raptors host the Knicks, and the Pistons travel to Brooklyn.
