HERE’S THIS YEARS PARTICIPANTS OF THE 2017 NBA THREE POINT CONTEST

With Steph Curry stepping down, will this smooth sailing for Klay to repeat as 3 Point Contest Champion?
As excited as last year’s championship duel of the Splash Brothers facing one another, there are a new round of 3 ball slingers thats ready to dethrone the long range gunner. This year’s field are a new group which can possibly give Klay a run for his money. Amongst the hoopers who are partaking in this year’s contest are Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving, Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker, Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Wesley Matthews, Los Angeles Lakers gunner “Swaggy P” who is primarily known as Nick Young, Houston Rockets sharpshooter Eric Gordon, Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry, and Portland TrailBlazers guard C.J. McCollum.
Expect Klay to put on a shooting clinic to defend his title. But don’t sleep on Uncle Drew and Swaggy P as they are liable to light it up once they start heating up.

Even though he was snubbed for a spot in the NBA All Star Game, Embiid has earn a lot of respect from hoop critics and having Sixers fan becoming alot more optimistic about the process one game at a time. Joel joins former Sixer Michael Carter-Williams and Jrue Holiday as the only Sixers to partake in the event. Along with showing his skills in front of thousand of fans, Embiid will also be suiting up in the Rising Stars Challenge. Not bad for a kid who wants to show his crush that he is NBA All Star, nignt in and night out. Ri-Ri, it’s time to give that young fella a chance.

NBA NEWS: Carmelo Anthony Announces He's Done For The Season

Carmelo Anthony Announces He's Done For The Season

According to reports, Carmelo Anthony has played in his last game of the season. As expected, Melo will undergo knee surgery and will be leaving the Knicks in a perfect position to land the #1 overall pick in the 2015 draft. Here's looking at you, Jahlil Okafor.
The Knicks' All-Star forward missed their last regular season game, a loss to the Magic, though he did play for the entire All-Star game at Madison Square Garden over the weekend.
Currently riding a five game losing streak with the league's worst record (10-43) it was a no brainer for Carmelo to shut it down, get healthy, and put the Knicks in a position to land a franchise player in the off season.
Knowing the Knicks though, they'll probably end up drafting some 7'0 center from Yugoslavia who will never step foot in the NBA.

BALLERS: Russell Westbrook & Kevin Durant Could Be Back On The Court Next Week

The Thunder’s outlook could be improving very soon
Prior to the 2014-2015 NBA season, the Oklahoma City Thunder were on the very short list of teams critics thought would come out of the west. Since then, they’ve suffered so many injuries, at one point there were more players on the mend than there were players available to suit up–including Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant, two of the NBA’s Top 10 scorers. As it stands right now, the Thunder are dead last in the top-heavy Western Conference with a record of 3-11, and they’re second-to-last in points per game, only the 76ers have a worse offense.
However, it appears things are looking up. According to a NewsOK report, Westbrook and Durant could be back as early as the end of next week. As per the report, Durant and Westbrook have been practicing lightly and alone on their surgically repaired limbs (Westbrook, hand; Durant, foot), but on Saturday, they’ll participate in prats of whole team practices.
Wearing a protective splint, Westbrook dribbled and shot with his surgically repaired right hand. Durant, meanwhile, rose off his surgically repaired right foot for a pair of easy dunks. Brooks also revealed that the two superstars will participate in parts of Thunder practice on Saturday afternoon — the first team work for either since their injuries.
The report went on to state that there’s a chance both stars could see game action by the end of next week.
The two seem to be healing at an accelerated rate and a return by the end of next week – particularly for Westbrook – isn’t out of the question.
