Following last night's UFC Fight Night, president Dana White spoke about Ronda Rousey and her upcoming fight against Cat Zingano at UFC 184 on Feb. 28. During their discussion, White suggested that Rousey, who has been mowing down her opponents, en route to a 4-0 start to her UFC career, may need to start seeking out tougher competition. More specifically, men.
“She’s gonna have to start fighting men if she walks through Cat Zingano,” White said after UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. Thatch.
“If Ronda Rousey walks through Cat Zingano the way she has walked through every body else, I don’t know what to do with her,” White said.
We should note that White was joking around when he made that comment. Does Rousey even stand a chance against a guy in her weight class? We're not sure we would want to even find out.

NEWS: SWIZZ BEATZ BROKERS DEAL BETWEEN REEBOK AND UFC

SWIZZ BEATZ BROKERS DEAL BETWEEN REEBOK AND UFC

Yesterday, the UFC announced their biggest non-media deal which was set in place by Reebok's creative director, Swizz Beatz. UFC Chariman, Lorenzo J. Fertitta, and President, Dana White, are close personal friends with Swizz, and this deal has reportedly been in the works for over a year.
As part of the six-year partnership, Reebok will be the UFC's exclusive outfitter, and starting in July, fighters will not be allowed to wear any logos that aren't Reebok. Furthermore, fighters will now be paid out a 20% royalty on all merchandise sold which features their likeliness and/or name.
"This announcement is just the beginning of a lot of super creative things," Swizz Beatz said. "You know we keep a couple things up the sleeve, but in January you’ll see the start of how we can make UFC be a part of lifestyle and doing things different."
"It’s going to change things in the UFC because all of our athletes are getting paid and they don’t have to look for sponsors anymore," Swizz said.
Reebok will be utilizing their 'Delta' logo, symbolizing their connection with CrossFit, on all of their performance products as they look to expand into the fitness category, beyond just sneakers.
"It's one of the many goals that came true since I’ve stated five years ago that Reebok was back," Swizz said. "Not only from putting out sneakers, but also bringing different things into the company that’s going to take this to the next level. Were plugging in another 900 million UFC fans into the Reebok and it's pretty big."
