RAP BEEF: XXXTENTACTION: Drake Is A "Pussy Nigga"

XXXTENTACTION: Drake Is A "Pussy Nigga"
XXXTENTACION takes shots at Drake, whom he believes swaggerjacked his "Look at Me" flow.
Last month, the internet debated whether or not Drake stole XXXTENTACION's "Look at Me" flow on an unreleased song he performed in Europe. X did not originate the flow, but given the popularity of "Look at Me," it is certainly within the realm of possibility that Drake lifted X's cadence consciously or unconsciously.
At least one person is certain that Drake stole X's flow: X himself, judging from the vitriolic tweets he dispatched Sunday morning.
“I’m not gonna twitter rap with niggas for stealing my flow, I slap niggas don’t come to Florida," he wrote. "It’s funny how the industry let this pussy Nigga sit at the top for so long, all y’all suck kill yourselves, Meh dun chat.”
He deleted those tweets -- then, three hours later, he kicked off another anti-Drake Twitter tirade:
I'm not gonna say no names but it's funny how one of my niggas hit me up saying "drake watched ur interview and fucks with you." Now this pussy nigga trying to play it save and play it innocent, but it's cool we all know "hot line bling" was a bite of "chacha." I'm not the first nigga he bit, nor will i be the last, drake a pussy nigga money don't buy you respect. drakes career is almost over, he better start investing money into real-estate cause once it's all over he really gonna see the "fake love"
His posts came hours after Drake spoke on the controversy last night during an interview with DJ Semtex on OVO Sound Radio. "I [listened to 'Look at Me'] and I’m like, okay, I see where people could draw this comparison off of the first two lines, whether it be cadence or the rhyme pattern or whatever,” Drake said. “It’s crazy that people think that after all this time, after all I’ve been through, that I’m the type of person... to go and take that and make it my own. I’m not stupid, I’m not a shit person like that.”
Here is everything you need to know about XXXTENTACION. See his tweets below.

VIDEOS: DJ Whoo Kid Feat. Akon & O.T. Genasis "Ride Daddy" Video

DJ Whoo Kid Feat. Akon & O.T. Genasis "Ride Daddy" Video

Akon and O.T. Genasis link up in the video for DJ Whoo Kid's "Ride Daddy."

At this point, Akon and O.T. Genasis are both proven hitmakers, so it makes sense why DJ Whoo Kid would put them on the same track. As soon as Akon enters, it's like he never left the radio, putting together a hook that's as explicit as it is catchy -- the recipe for many of his best tracks. As for O.T., he brings his own melodies to the table offsetting Akon's precise belting with a more casual auto-tuned rap-centric contribution.

The song appears on Akon's Konvict Kartel Vol. 1 project, which was released late last year. Does it have hit potential?

BREAKING NEWS:

One dead in downtown Toronto afternoon shooting

A male victim is dead as a result of a shooting in downtown Toronto Monday afternoon.
Shots rang out at Adelaide and George streets at around 2:45 p.m., according to Toronto Paramedic Services. A single victim was pronounced deceased a short time later, paramedics said.
Toronto police said the victim is a male, but his age and identity have not yet been publicly released.

 Shooting
Police investigate a shooting near George and Adelaide streets downtown Monday January 30, 2017.
Two handguns and as many as a dozen shell casings were found strewn at the scene of the murder, Toronto police Sgt. Craig Somers told reporters.
“We don’t know who the guns belong to at this point in time or if there were multiple shooters,” Somers said.
Witnesses at the scene told CP24 that they saw a man get out of a vehicle on the passenger side, fire several shots and then get back into the car before it fled.
Police said there is currently little suspect information available. However they said a nearby vehicle was struck by a blue vehicle that fled the scene. None of the occupants were injured.
Somers said that police are currently scouring the neighbourhood for surveillance camera footage and are speaking with witnesses to try and confirm details about suspects.
“We’ve taken four witnesses in for statements at this time and it is a busy area – I’m sure more will come to light,” Somers said.
He added that with many people out and about in the area, it was fortunate that more people were not injured by the gunfire.
“We’re very, very lucky with the number of rounds we’ve seen on the roadway that no other innocent people were injured,” Somers said.
Police have closed off local roads as they investigate and are asking the public to stay clear of the area.
A hold and secure was briefly in effect nearby at the St. James campus of George Brown College as a result of the shooting, the school said. Students were being advised to stay on campus or to avoid the area if they were not already on campus.
Police said there is no information at this point linking the shooting to the school.

NEWS: Migos Are 'Ready' to Perform at Super Bowl If Petition Pans Out

Migos Are 'Ready' to Perform at Super Bowl If Petition Pans Out

"Let's do it!"

With Super Bowl LI looming, avid rap fans are pushing for a change in this year's halftime show. A new petition on Change.org is calling on Atlanta trio Migos to replace Lady Gaga.
"Halftime should be Migos killing Bad and Boujee," reads the petition. "Future kills em with March Madness, then Outkast comes out and does an AQUEMINI sampler and then they end it with BUN B and JAY Z DOING BIG PIMPIN!!!! If you're gonna put on a show for billions THIS IS THE ONLY SHOW."
As of Monday (Jan. 30), there are nearly 22,000 signatures in place, with the goal being 75,000. In a recent interview with Music Choice, Migos were more than thrilled with the idea of performing "Bad and Boujee" on the biggest stage in sports. "I didn't know it was real and people got signatures," Quavo said in the interview. "Let's do it. We're ready to f---ing perform."
Fans also envisioned a pre-show consisting of some of Atlanta's all-stars, like Gucci Mane, Ludacris and Jeezy. To up the ante, the petition is asking for Andre 3000 and Erykah Badu to reunite and perform together, while having Young Thug croon "Guwop Home" in place of the national anthem. Instead, the NFL has booked Hamilton stars Phillipa Soo, Renee Elise Goldsberry and Jasmine Cephas Jones for the "Star-Spangled Banner" and Luke Bryan for "America the Beautiful."
While the likelihood of the Super Bowl lineup changing now is slim, Migos can still rejoice that "Bad & Boujee" remains at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

ALBUM: Migos - Culture + 20 Best Lyrics From Album

20 of the Best Lyrics From Migos’ ‘Culture’ Album

The Migos‘ latest full length release, CULTURE, finally arrived on Thursday evening (Jan. 26), instantly creating an air of excitement within the rap community. One of the more anticipated rap albums of 2017, CULTURE comes more than a year after Migos’ debut album, Yung Rich Nation, which generated plenty of buzz, but was stifled by legal drama. Using 2016 to regroup and regain their crown as the hottest rap group of the moment, CULTURE is the culmination of Migos’ rise to the top of the music world, and finds all three group members turning in stellar performances and displaying a chemistry that is as innate as it is effortless.
With Donald Glover’s Golden Globes nod to the Migos’ ubiquitous single, “Bad and Boujee,” helping to boost the record to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and their popularity at a fever pitch, CULTURE had a lot of expectation riding on it prior to its release. But with songs like “Call Casting,” “Brown Paper Bag” and “Deadz” already being mentioned as standout records by listeners (if you take a look through critics’ timelines on Twitter), it appears that Migos’ sophomore effort has managed to live up to the hype.
Boasting guest appearances from Lil Uzi Vert, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz and Travis Scott, as well as production by Metro Boomin, Zaytoven, Cardo, Nard & B and other elite boardsmen, CULTURE packs plenty of firepower that adds to Migos’ own undeniable star-power.

NEWS: Hip Hop Hall Of Fame Coming To Harlem In 2017

Hip Hop Hall Of Fame Coming To Harlem In 2017

What do you want to see in the Hip Hop Hall Of Fame?

How long does it take for a music genre to get its own museum? About 40 years, apparently. It's been a long time coming, but the Hip Hop Hall Of Fame will finally open its doors to the public in the year 2017. Located in Harlem and midtown, the site will house various items from hip-hop history including posters, equipment, and wardrobe donated by artists like Salt-N-Pepa, Run-DMC, Young Jeezy and Common.
Former producer of BET's "Hip-Hop Hall of Fame Awards Show," JT Thompson, will serve as the organizer of the museum's entertainment committee. “People need to understand the importance of hip hop, the elements, the DJs, the B-boys and B-girls and the graffiti writers,” he said in a press release.
The project itself will cost just about $80 million; $50 million of which was raised through crowd sourcing.
Kenny Snyder, co-chair of the museum's entertainment committee alongside Thompson, expressed hope that the venue will show a positive side to a genre clouted in negativity. “Hip hop got a bad rep,” he said. “With this museum, it’s important to sit on the other side of it.”
Stay tuned to HNHH for another three years as we continue to cover this monument's roll out.
