Kim Kardashian’s Alleged Robber Confirms Social Media Helped Him Plan Heist
The alleged ringleader of the group that robbedKim Kardashian Westin early October told French police last week that his team obtained much of the information they needed to pull off the heist from her social media posts, French newspaperLe Monde reports.Aomar Ait Khedache, the implicated 60-year-old veteran robber, whomLe Mondecalledle vieux,“or old man,” said that the thieves were able to perform an appraisal of Kardashian West’s jewels—and knew all about her trip to Paris—thanks to social media.
“The jewels were shown on the Internet, and [she said] that she didn’t wear fakes . . . the time she would arrive in France, you just had to look at the Internet and you knew everything, absolutely everything,” he said in the police report obtained by Le Monde.
In the days following the October robbery, Paris police chief Christian Sainte hinted to reporter Mark Seal, who detailed the heist in Vanity Fair, that they expected as much. “She gives information on social media all the time,” he replied when asked whether the thieves were following Kardashian West on her feeds back in October.
Khedache, however, also told police that he and his alleged accomplices bolstered those leads with “very precise information” about the reality star’s movements in Paris, thanks to “someone who was very close to her.” They had planned to rob her on a previous trip to the city, he said, but called it off because she was never alone.
The fate of the jewelry has already been sealed, per Khedache, with everything except Kardashian West’s reported $4 million engagement ring having been melted down and sold off. The 20-karat-ring is in “somebody’s” possession, he said, but “we’re all afraid to sell it because it is a stone that is very easy to spot.”
Pharrell Williams and Helen Lasichanh Welcome Triplets
Williams’s rep confirmed the triplets joined older brother Rocket earlier this month.
When I saw music producer turned Chanel model Pharrell Williams at the French fashion house’s ritzy fashion show in Paris in December (held at the Ritz, appropriately enough), I could have sworn there was something special about the look in his eye. Now Vanity Fair can exclusively explain why: his wife, Helen Lasichanh, was pregnant with not one, not two, but three children. She gave birth to triplets earlier in January.
Williams’s rep declined to provide the babies’ names or sexes, but confirmed that mother and children are “healthy and happy.” (The triplets will join Williams and Lasichanh’s firstborn son, Rocket, who is eight years old.)
In addition to multiplying his brood by 400 percent, it’s been a busy year for Pharrell. After he walked Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel fashion show in December, it was announced that he would be the first-ever male to model in a Chanel handbag campaign. (Cara Delevingne and Kristen Stewart also appear in the ads, which were lensed by Lagerfeld himself.)
Williams has also been popping up on on the awards circuit, since he’s an Academy Award–nominated producer of Hidden Figures. The movie won best ensemble at this weekend’s SAG Awards, so we’ll have to just wait and see if in addition to the three new babies at home, he’ll bring home an Oscar this year as well.
Akon Believes Donald Trump Has Made Him & Other Americans Targets
Akon believes Trumps' new immigration ban has put big targets on him & other celebs.
It appears Akon is feeling some type of way now that President Trump is in office & already making shock waves by signing the new immigration ban over the weekend. Considering his busy travel schedule, Akon believes Trump has put a target on his head for when he leaves the United States.
It’s not just Americans Akon thinks is in trouble either. He also says Canadians, including Drake & Justin Bieber, should be cautious as well because foreigners lump each other together (U.S. & Canada).
Akon went on to further say he doesn’t think Trump thought his Presidency run all the way through, and doesn’t understand the power behind his actions & words as President right now.

A secret network of wildlife traffickers selling baby chimpanzees as pets has been exposed by a year-long BBC News investigation.
The BBC's research uncovered a notorious West African hub for wildlife trafficking, known as the "blue room", and led to the rescue of a one-year-old chimp.
More than 50 people were at the mosque when the shooting erupted just before 20:00 on Sunday.
Nineteen people were wounded - all men - and of five people still in hospital, two were in a critical condition.
A man of Moroccan heritage who was also arrested after the attack, Mohamed Khadir, is now being treated as a witness.
Quebec provincial police have released the names of all six victims who were killed:
Father-of-three Azzeddine Soufiane, 57, a grocer and butcher
Khaled Belkacemi, 60, a professor in the food science department at Laval University
Father-of-three, Abdelkrim Hassane, 41, an IT worker for the government
Aboubaker Thabti, 44, and two Guinean nationals, Mamadou Tanou Barry, 42, and Ibrahima Barry, 39
Mr Bissonnette did not enter a plea as he appeared in court on Monday, wearing a white prison-issue jump suit, his hands and feet shackled.
The suspect was arrested in his car on a bridge leading from Quebec City to Ile d'Orleans, where he called police to say he wanted to cooperate with the authorities.
According to local media, Mr Bissonnette studied political science and anthropology at Laval University, whose campus is about 3km (two miles) away from the mosque.
The Montreal Gazette reports that the suspect dressed up as the Grim Reaper for Halloween, according to his Facebook page, which has now been taken offline.
On the social network, he also reportedly "liked" US President Donald Trump and French National Front leader Marine Le Pen.
Francois Deschamps, an official with an advocacy group, Welcome to Refugees, said the suspect was known for his far-right views.
Mr Bissonnette was "unfortunately known to many activists in Quebec for taking nationalist, pro-Le Pen and anti-feminist positions at Laval University and on social media," Mr Deschamps posted on the organisation's Facebook page

The streets around the mosque are mostly deserted except for the police investigators milling around the cordoned-off site.
Noemie Roussel Paradis is standing alone across from the empty mosque holding a Koran. She is a proud convert to Islam and came to pay her respects after "this murder, this attack, this act of terrorism", even though this was not the mosque where she prays.
"This is Allah's home, and there was blood spilled on the floor," she said.
She said it's likely that she shared a Ramadan meal with one of the people who was in the mosque during the attack. "The only thing we can do now is cry and hope that Allah will make those responsible face their actions," she said.
Nearby, Martin St-Louis is holding a large wooden board, its painted message carrying a call for peace.
"Where terror stands or walks, peace must stand," he said. "I'm no philosopher or priest, but for those people who fall, we have to stand."
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard both described the shooting as a terrorist attack.
Addressing the more than one million Muslims who live in Canada, Mr Trudeau said: "We are with you.
"Thirty-six million hearts are breaking with yours. Know that we value you."
But the White House, which condemned the attack, said it was also an example of why the US president's policies were needed.
White House spokesman Sean Spicer said: "It's a terrible reminder of why we must remain vigilant and why the president is taking steps to be pro-active, rather than reactive when it comes to our nation's safety and security."
The mosque has been a target of hate crimes in the past, including last summer when a pig's head was left on its doorstep during Ramadan.
Mohamed Labidi, vice-president of the Islamic centre, said the victims had been shot in the back.
"Security at our mosque was our major, major concern," Mr Labidi said tearfully. "But we were caught off-guard."
The predominantly French-speaking province of Quebec has welcomed thousands of immigrants from Arab countries and other nations.
But there has been a longstanding debate over the "reasonable accommodation" of immigrants and religious minorities.
This question has been asked by many, but answered by few. Today, the Twitterverse is giving its best shot -- without once referencing Mel Gibson's attempt -- with their own opinions.
Now, even though we can't generalize what billions of women want across the globe, we admit some of these are true.
LINDSAY LOHAN CONVERTS TO ISLAM, DELETES ALL SOCIAL MEDIA
Who says that some people are impossible to change?
32 year old actress and singer Lindsay Lohan has shocked her fans and critics alike after deleting all of her social media amd simply leaving the Arabic phrase “Alaikum salam” vin her bio.
“It opened doors for me to experience spiritually, to find another true meaning. This is who I am.”
The Screen Actors Guild Awards took place last night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Many congratulations go to all of the winners. Denzel Washington won for best actor for his role in “Fences” and Viola Davis won best supporting actress.
Davis also makes history as the first African American to win five SAG awards. “Hidden Figures” took the award for outstanding ensemble in a motion picture. Mahershala Ali, took home supporting actor award for his performance in “Moonlight”.
All of the awards were well deserved and the speeches were moving. Denzel Washington dedicated his award to August Wilson and the actors who go unrecognized. Mahershala Ali shared a heartfelt speech that spoke on his character in the film and how he and his mother put their differences aside when he became a Muslim 17 years ago. Taraji P. Henson’s speech focused on unity, creating solutions, and letting love win. See some of the speeches below.

WOMAN FACING DEPORTATION TO CHILE ATTEMPTS SUICIDE AT NY’S JKF AIRPORT
A woman who was upset about being deported back to her native country of Chile attempted to kill herself inside JFK International Airport on Thursday.
She was saved by two Port Authority Officers after someone recognized that she was not breathing and administered Narcan, a nasal spray used by law enforcement agencies to help overdose patients, according to the New York Daily News.
The woman, who has not been named, was being held at customs as she awaited for a flight back to Chile.
She took 30 sleeping pills and a number of muscle relaxants around 2pm on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
A law enforcement official told the Daily News: 'She really didn't want to go to Chile. She was intent on killing herself'.
The woman attempted suicide a day before President Trump's Friday executive order, suspending immigration from Muslim countries with terrorist concerns, blocking refugees for 120 days, and suspending Syrian refugees indefinitely, reported the Daily News.
While waiting on the flight, she fell unconscious and was having noticeable difficulty breathing.
Port Authority Police Officers John Devins and Dominick Renda came to the scene and administered the drug before putting her in an emergency vehicle to be taken to Jamaica Hospital.
The drug revived her, and she is now in stable condition.

22 Savage has made a name for himself off the back of another artist, without that artist's permission at that, and while that's not exactly something most people would be proud of, 22 seems to have no shame (and he's spurred imitators of his own, by extension). After a couple of leaks leading up, 22 Savage is ready to release his mixtape, Nothing 2 Live 4.
What are your thoughts on this 21 Savage imitator? Although he's been vying to fight his namesake, 21 Savage is refusing.
DJ Whoo Kid Feat. Akon & O.T. Genasis "Ride Daddy" Video
Akon and O.T. Genasis link up in the video for DJ Whoo Kid's "Ride Daddy."
At this point, Akon and O.T. Genasis are both proven hitmakers, so it makes sense why DJ Whoo Kid would put them on the same track. As soon as Akon enters, it's like he never left the radio, putting together a hook that's as explicit as it is catchy -- the recipe for many of his best tracks. As for O.T., he brings his own melodies to the table offsetting Akon's precise belting with a more casual auto-tuned rap-centric contribution.
The song appears on Akon's Konvict Kartel Vol. 1 project, which was released late last year. Does it have hit potential?
Juvenile could easily retire right now and still be remembered as a rap legend. Instead, he's preparing to release the "modern day 400 Degreez," according to the SoundCloud description of his new track "Red Sox." For those who may be too young to remember, 400 Degreez is the 1998 album from Juvie that housed the massive single "Back That Azz Up' and "Ha," and was certified 4x platinum a year after its release.
Setting a goal to replicate that kind of influence is ambitious, but Juvie has teamed with the right person to get the album rollout started, tapping Young Thug for the new record. Juvie starts things off with his signature bounce flows, before handing things off to Thug who pays tribute to the H-O-T Boys, Juvenile's former group, and takes the track in some unexpected directions .
Trayvon Martin's Parents Are Thinking About Running For Public Office
Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin are not satisfied with the state of things.
Next month marks the 5th anniversary of the day Trayvon Martin was shot and killed in Florida. While the nation has since experienced a number other police shootings, Martin’s remains in people’s minds as one of the first in the modern era of heightened awareness about police (and citizen) violence against black Americans. The five years hasn’t softened the hearts of Martin’s parents, who revealed they are now considering running for public office to “be part of the change” in the United States.
In an interview with USA Today, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin (they are divorced) reveal how their perspective has radically changed since that fateful evening in February in 2012. Where before they were comfortable with their “average” lives, they now want to help push progress that they both feel hasn’t been made since their son’s death.
“The only way we can be part of the change is if we start with local government and we work our way up,” explains Fulton. They also cite Trump’s recent election as additional motivation to begin working in politics. If they decided to pull the trigger on a political bid, they hope to eventually make it to the national stage.
Trayvon Martin would have been 22 years old next Sunday.
Kim Kardashian's Thieves Melted Down Her Jewelry & Only Made €28,000
Most of Kim Kardashian's stolen jewelry has been melted and sold. Her $4 million engagement ring is the one piece that may still be out there.
After a reclusive end to last year, Kim Kardashian has been back in the spotlight to kick off 2017. Perhaps she's felt more at ease since the arrests of many of those involved in the October jewelry robbery that she was a target of while in Paris. Though 10 suspects -- many of them elderly French gangsters -- have been arrested for the incident, police have said that it is unlikely that Kim will see any of the stolen jewelry again.
In fact, much of the jewelry was "melted down" soon after it was taken, said 60-year-old Aomar Ait Khedache, the alleged mastermind of the whole theft, in his police testimony, excerpts of which were published in the French newspaper Le Monde.
"For the jewelry never to be recognized, we made the decision to melt them," said Khedache. “One of the people took care of it.” The melted jewelry was then sold in Antwerp, Belgium, a major European hub for (both legal and illegal) jewelry commerce.
"He came back with bars," said Khedache of the man who melted the jewelry, who returned with over 800 grams of the melted precious metals that were stolen from Kim. For all of that, Khedache and his cohorts allegedly earned somewhere between €25,000 and €28,000. Of course, that amount is but a blip of the value of the jewelry in its original state.
According to the testimony, everything was melted down save for the most expensive piece: Kim's 20-carat emerald cut engagement ring, which is worth an estimated $4 million. Khedache said that the ring is still intact, and he told police that "there is a person who has it," though it does not seem like he offered a name for that person. "Everyone was afraid to sell," he said of the outrageously priced ring, "because it's a stone that's very easily spotted."
Khedache, who is known to his fellow criminals and to police as "Old Omar," is currently being held without bail.
New Study Finds Smoking Marijuana Has No Proven Link To Lung Cancer
*Wiz Khalifa laugh*
In case marijuana advocates needed something else to celebrate after today’s legalization in Maine, a new academic report that was just published has some very good news for marijuana users. The study examined over 10,000 other studies and combined their findings to come to more definitive conclusions. Those conclusions confirmed that marijuana is an effective pain reliever, marijuana is not a gateway drug, among other findings.
The study only focused on the abstracts of papers published since 1999. It was conducted by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, and featured nearly 100 conclusions about marijuana use based on the findings. The conclusions in the 395-page report ranged from good to very bad, and included:
Marijuana is an effective treatment for chronic pain
Marijuana does not appear to be a gateway drug
There does not appear to be any connection between marijuana use and lung cancer or head and neck cancers
Marijuana can’t treat cancer
Longterm Marijuana use can cause social anxiety disorders and trigger schizophrenia
Cannabis use increases the risk of motor vehicle accidents
So if you’re planning on lighting up, consider checking the results to see what you’re really doing to your body and brain. Nothing in the studies was able to show a difference between pipes, bongs, blunts, papers or any other method of getting high.
