NEWS: Texas plumber sells old truck with company decal on it, one year later and it’s being used by Islamic Militants in Syria

Texas plumber sells old truck with company decal on it, one year later and it’s being used by Islamic Militants in Syria
It’s rare that one would wonder where their old car would end up once traded in. Even if the thought came to mind you’d assume some teenaged, suburban driver is currently en route to their first date before imagining what happened to Jeff Oberholtzer of Texas City, TX.
Oberholtzer is the son of the owner of Mark-1 Plumbing — the former owner of the now notorious Ford F-250 turned into an anti-aircraft firing weapon on the front lines of Syria’s civil war.
“To think something we would use to pull trailers now is being used for terror, it’s crazy,” Oberholtzer said. “Never in my lifetime would think something like that.”
Immediately after the picture surfaced, friends of Oberholtzer began to believe that he and his family had been aiding terrorists. However, in an interview with USA Today he insists that this ordeal is one big, unfortunate, coincidence. Also in the time since the image released, his business has been booming with phone calls, albeit threatening, thanks to the truck still having his company’s decal “Mark-1 Plumbing” with the phone number under.
“We have a secretary here. She’s scared to death,” he said. “We all have families. We don’t want no problems.”
